At Selfguard Automation and Controls, we provide Automatic Changeover Switches for different mains and generator configurations. One of the most important points we specify for selecting the right changeover is the load of the Main Supply.
Our Three Phase Automatic Changeover Switch (CTF) is designed to automatically transfer the load from mains to generator and from generator back to mains. It is installed between a Three Phase Mains Supply and either a Single Phase Generator or Three Phase Generator.
How Our Three Phase Automatic Changeover Switch Works
During the absence of the Main Supply, when the generator starts, our Three Phase Automatic Changeover Switch automatically shifts the load to the generator side.
When the Main Supply becomes available again, the unit automatically shifts the load back from the generator to mains without any delay. After the load has shifted to the mains supply, the generator runs under a No Load Condition.
Our Three Phase Automatic Changeover Switch is applicable for a Three Phase Main Supply and Single Phase Load only.

The unit can be installed with either a Single Phase Generator or a Three Phase Generator.
Available Ratings in Our Three Phase Changeover
At Selfguard, we offer our Three Phase Automatic Changeover Switch in the following ratings:

We clearly specify that the selection of the Changeover is done according to the load of the Main Supply.
For this reason, our Three Phase Automatic Changeover Switch is available in different ratings from 63 Amps to 200 Amps.
The product size also varies according to the model. Our 63 Amp Three Phase Automatic Changeover Switch has a size of 300 × 250 × 115 mm. The 100 Amp, 150 Amp and 200 Amp models have a size of 450 × 310 × 135 mm.
Our Single Phase Automatic Changeover Switch
Along with our Three Phase model, we also offer the Selfguard Single Phase Automatic Changeover Switch (CSNF).
This unit automatically transfers the load from mains to generator and from generator back to mains. It is installed between a Single Phase Mains Supply and a Single Phase Generator.
During the absence of Main Supply, when the generator starts, our Single Phase Automatic Changeover Switch automatically shifts the load to the generator side.
When Main Supply becomes available again, the unit shifts the load from generator to mains without any delay. After the load has shifted, the generator continues to run under a No Load Condition.
Our Single Phase Automatic Changeover Switch is available in:
- 40 Amps
- 63 Amps
- 100 Amps
- 150 Amps
- 200 Amps
For the Single Phase model as well, we specify that the selection of the changeover is done according to the load of the Main Supply.
Selecting the Right Selfguard Automatic Changeover Switch

Our Three Phase Automatic Changeover Switch is available from 63 Amps to 200 Amps and is designed for a Three Phase Mains Supply with a Single Phase or Three Phase Generator. It is applicable for Three Phase Main Supply with Single Phase Load only.
For a Single Phase Mains Supply and Single Phase Generator, our Single Phase Automatic Changeover Switch is available from 40 Amps to 200 Amps.
For both products, our selection guideline remains clear: the selection of the Automatic Changeover Switch is done according to the load of the Main Supply.
