What Is a Wireless Remote Generator Start and Stop Unit?
Our Selfguard Generator Auto Start Auto Stop Unit with Wireless Remote (WAC) offers three operating functions:
- Remote Start – Remote Stop
- Remote Start – Auto Stop
- Auto Start – Auto Stop
The unit supports automatic operation according to the presence or absence of the mains supply, along with remote starting and stopping through its wireless remote.
1. Wireless Remote Operation Up to 300 Feet
The wireless remote supplied with our Selfguard WAC unit can be operated from up to 300 feet away from the generator.
Using the remote, users can start the generator by pressing the C (Start) button and stop it by pressing the D (Stop) button. The remote also allows users to change between Auto and Manual modes using the A (Auto) and B (Manual) buttons.
2. Automatic Starting When Mains Supply Is Absent
In Auto mode, our Selfguard wireless remote generator auto start auto stop unit starts the generator automatically after the mains supply becomes absent.
This is one of the three operating functions supported by the WAC unit and is intended for compatible self-start generators.
3. Automatic Stopping When Mains Supply Returns
Our WAC unit stops the generator automatically when the mains supply returns, in both Auto and Manual modes.
In Manual mode, users can start the generator using the C (Start) button on the wireless remote. They can stop it by pressing the D (Stop) button at any time while the mains supply is absent. If the generator has not been stopped using the remote, the unit stops it automatically when the mains supply returns.
4. Auto and Manual Mode Selection
The Selfguard WAC wireless remote includes dedicated buttons for Auto mode, Manual mode, Start, and Stop.
The Auto button selects automatic operation, while the Manual button allows manual operation. The Start and Stop buttons provide remote generator control according to the operating conditions described for the unit.
5. Compatibility with Different Generator Controllers
