At Selfguard, our Generator Controllers are designed as safety devices for self-start generators. Our Three Phase Generator Controller covers the safety of both the engine and alternator and provides functions for automatic and remote operation of the generator.
Selfguard offers Generator Controllers in single-phase and three-phase versions. The product range also includes Generator Controllers with Wireless Remote. The three-phase Generator Controller is available in 12 and 24 volts and for generators up to 250 KVA.
Auto Start and Auto Stop
Our Generator Controller provides three operating functions: Auto Start–Auto Stop, Remote Start–Auto Stop and Remote Start–Remote Stop.
In Auto mode, the generator starts automatically after the absence of the main supply and stops automatically after the presence of the main supply.
In Manual mode, the generator can be started using the green/start button on the main unit or remote unit. It can be stopped by pressing the red/stop button on the main unit or remote unit while the main supply is absent. If it is not stopped using the red/stop button, the generator will stop automatically after the main supply is present.
The unit also stops the generator automatically when the main supply is present in either Auto or Manual mode.
Engine and Alternator Status
The 20×4 LCD display on our Generator Controller shows the status, warnings and faults of the engine and alternator while the generator is running.
The display includes Auto/Manual Mode, Battery Voltage, Engine Run Time, Service Due Time, Voltage, Frequency, RPM, Amps, Oil Pressure, Temperature, Fuel Level, Mains Voltage and Fault/Warning.
These are the parameters and indications provided through the controller display while the generator is operating.
Warning and Tripping
Our controller also provides warning and tripping functions for specified conditions. These include Low/High Battery, Service Due, Over and Under Voltage, Over and Under RPM, Over and Under Frequency, Over Current Trip and Low Oil Pressure.
The controller provides indications including blink on warning, tripping or fault, and Auto indication. All the features can be configured by pressing the Menu button on the display.
Remote Operation
Selfguard also offers a Three Phase Generator Controller with Wireless Remote. The wireless model provides Auto Start–Auto Stop, Remote Start–Auto Stop and Remote Start–Remote Stop functions.
The wireless remote supplied with the main unit can be operated from up to 300 feet away from the generator. It can be used to remotely start and stop the generator and to change between Auto and Manual modes.
For the wired Three Phase Generator Controller, the controller can be operated with a 4-core wire having a thickness of 0.5 mm from an unlimited distance to remotely start and stop the generator and change the Auto/Manual mode.
