What Is an Automatic Changeover Switch?
An Automatic Changeover Switch is designed to automatically transfer the electrical supply from the main source to a standby source when the main supply fails. As soon as the primary power source becomes available again, the switch automatically transfers the supply back to the mains.

What Does Generator Automation Do?
While the Automatic Changeover Switch manages the power source, the Generator Auto Start Auto Stop Unit manages the generator operation.
Our Automatic Generator Start and Stop Units monitor the availability of the mains power supply. In Auto mode, when the mains supply is absent, the unit automatically initiates the generator starting process. When mains electricity returns, the generator is automatically stopped.
This means the user does not need to manually reach the generator every time there is a power failure or when electricity is restored.
How Do the Two Systems Work Together?
Automatic changeover and generator automation perform different but connected functions.
When the mains supply fails, the generator automation system detects the absence of mains power and starts the generator automatically. Once generator power is available, the Automatic Changeover Switch can transfer the electrical load from the mains source to the generator.
When normal mains electricity returns, the Automatic Changeover Switch transfers the supply back to the primary source. The Generator Auto Start Auto Stop Unit then stops the generator automatically.
Together, these functions create a more automated process for managing mains failure, generator operation and power source changeover.
Instead of manually starting the generator, operating a changeover switch and then repeating the process when mains electricity returns, the system can manage these operations according to power availability.
Automatic and Manual Control
Automation does not necessarily mean giving up manual control.
Our Generator Auto Start Auto Stop Units support different operating functions, including:

Depending on the model, users can also operate the generator through the controls available on the main unit or remote unit. In Auto mode, generator starting and stopping are controlled according to the mains supply.
