Operating a generator becomes more convenient when starting, stopping, monitoring, and safety functions can be managed through a dedicated controller. At Selfguard Automation and Controls, we offer Generator Controllers with Wireless Remote designed for self-start generators, providing automatic operation, remote control, monitoring, and protection for both the engine and alternator.

Our wireless remote generator controllers are available in two versions: the GC-1(W) Single Phase Generator Controller with Wireless Remote and the GC-3(W) Three Phase Generator Controller with Wireless Remote.

Automatic Generator Start and Stop

One of the key functions of our generator controllers is automatic operation. In Auto mode, the generator starts automatically after the absence of the main supply and stops automatically after the main supply is restored.

This means the generator operation can be managed automatically without requiring the generator to be started manually whenever the main supply is unavailable.

The controller also provides Auto Start–Auto Stop, Remote Start–Auto Stop, and Remote Start–Remote Stop functions.

Control the Generator with a Wireless Remote

The wireless remote makes generator operation more convenient by allowing the generator to be controlled from up to 300 feet away from the generator.

With the remote, the operator can perform essential functions without being at the main controller. The C button is used for Remote Start, while the D button is used for Remote Stop. The operating mode can also be changed remotely, with the A button for Auto mode and the B button for Manual mode.

In Manual mode, the generator can also be started using the green Start button on the main unit or remote unit. It can be stopped using the red Stop button on the main unit or remote unit when the main supply is absent. If it is not stopped manually, the generator will also stop automatically when the main supply returns.

Monitor Generator Status on a 20×4 LCD Display

Our controllers provide a 20×4 LCD display showing the status, warnings, and faults of the engine and alternator while the generator is running.

The display provides information including Auto/Manual mode, battery voltage, engine run time, service due time, voltage, frequency, RPM, amps, oil pressure, temperature, fuel level, mains voltage, and fault/warning indications.

This allows the operator to view important generator information through the controller display.

Built-In Warning and Tripping Functions

The controller also includes warning and tripping functions for several operating conditions. These include low/high battery, service due, over and under voltage, over and under RPM, over and under frequency, over-current trip, and low oil pressure.

The controller provides indications for warnings, tripping faults, and Auto mode. All features are configurable through the Menu button on the display.

Single Phase and Three Phase Options

We provide different controller options according to generator requirements. The GC-1(W) is our Single Phase Generator Controller with Wireless Remote and is available in 12 volts.

For three-phase applications, the GC-3(W) is available in 12 and 24 volts and is specified for generators up to 250 KVA.

Both controllers are designed as safety devices for self-start generators and cover the safety of both the engine and alternator.

Simplifying Generator Operation with Selfguard

A wireless remote generator controller brings automatic operation, remote control, generator status monitoring, and warning and tripping functions together in one controller.

At Selfguard Automation and Controls, we have been engaged in manufacturing electrical and electronic products related to mains, generators, and agricultural automation since 1990. Our Generator Controllers with Wireless Remote are designed to provide the functions required for convenient and controlled operation of self-start generators.
